We are a collaborative effort to tackle important cause of bridging research inequality in Parkinson’s Disease research.
Academic and clinical institutions that have joined us so far span the African continent including Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia. Through expert support from UCL Institute of Neurology (United Kingdom) and National Institute of Health (United States of America), we conduct genetic research in Africa at an unprecedented scale with over 7000 Parkinson’s patients having their DNA researched to find new causes of disease.
